God said that? So what? - Harold Sala

God said that? So what? - Harold Sala

What is the most important book in the world? The Bible! The book ‘God Said that? So what?’ by Harold Sala  is a great read if you want to use your handy paperweight as more than a way to keep your bills from flying off.

The Bible Dismissed

Ever since the publishing of many books that have sought to “expose” the bible for what it really is, people have dismissed the bible as just another book. The bible to them is  a book that has distorted the facts and has deluded millions. This is quite far from the truth.

The Bridge to clarity

In “God said that? So what?”  Harold Sala talks about five bridges to having confidence in the Bible; it’s source, and it’s purpose. The Bridge to Uniqueness talks about how the bible is different from every book out there. It’s authors, formation, and claims are so radical. It is clear how the bible is set apart from every other book. I particularly enjoyed the Bridge to Archeology. I am a history buff and this chapter in “God said that? So what?” really piqued my interest. Sala gave many archeological evidences and explanations about the history of the bible. The Dead Sea Scrolls and the Gnostic gospels were explained with sound evidence. The other three bridges are: the Bridge to Manuscript Evidence, The Bridge to Fulfilled Prophecy and the Bridge to Truce with Science. Doesn’t that sound interesting?

Defend it!

This book seeks to answer all the basic questions you use to defunct the bibe. Because of “God said that? So what?”, I am able to defend my faith logically and with care. This is recommended to those who want to have a solid, rational reason in explaining their faith.

  3. I'll take note of reading it. =D Next in my list is Screwtape letters by CS Lewis and When God writes your love story. I'm currently reading respectable sins, the 360 degree leader and Cat and dog theology so I won't be able to read this book for quite some time =)
